Wilkinsburg residents come together to promote peace in community

Posted on May 7, 2016 by marlee

May 7, 2016: “More than 100 Little League baseball players marched through the streets of Wilkinsburg Saturday, but the event was more than just a celebration of a new baseball season. Fed-up community members marched alongside the players on a three-mile stretch in Wilkinsburg to show unity and to protest ongoing violence in the community. The community spoke with a loud voice Saturday, and they came together to show that a brighter future is ahead. “Stay strong, stay together, stay focused,” said David E. Reese, an official with the Wilkinsburg baseball league. “It’s going to get better.”” Check out the full article and video from WPXI.
