Focus Areas

Through the completion of the Seeking Solutions report and outreach efforts, three neighborhoods expressed an interest in continuing the process to develop more specific neighborhood plans and implement some of the ideas that were conceptually developed. Three areas of immediate interest were selected for the initial phase of redevelopment currently ongoing:

Singer Place/Upper Center/High School

Centered around transforming civil war-era mansions into livable multi-family dwellings.

Park Triangle

Led by the Covenant Fellowship Church community and JC Power Home Improvement.

Hamnett Place

The area has blossomed, with nearly 70 units of restored housing, a new neighborhood center, and ongoing preservation and restoration projects in the works.
