At the WCDC, we lead and partner on commercial development projects within Wilkinsburg’s Central Business District.
With two successful redevelopment projects, Wilkinsburg Train Station and Lohr Building, completed in the past three years, we are currently collaborating on several new commercial development projects involving vacant and/or formerly blighted buildings and land.
For decades, this landmark building served as a gateway into and out of Wilkinsburg for local residents and visitors.
In 2017, we launched a $2.5 million renovation project to transform the Lohr Building into a premier, mixed-use commercial building in the heart of Wilkinsburg’s business district.
We are currently working with a project team led by two individuals with backgrounds in architecture, structural engineering, and converting commercial and industrial buildings to residential uses.
