What We Do

Art All Over

Art All Over

Our Art All Over initiative launched in 2020 following the completion of our Lohr Building restoration, which included the 1,300 square foot, street-level Lohr Gallery space at 725 Wood Street in Wilkinsburg. The Lohr Gallery opened up the opportunity to create a dedicated space to feature work from local artists and makers and provide an arts-focused public space in the heart of Wilkinsburg – a longtime goal of the WCDC and our community.

Since its debut in 2020, in partnership with Casey Droege Cultural Productions (CDCP) Wilkinsburg Art All Over has hosted 22 artists and welcomed over 1,250 visitors to the Lohr Gallery. Selected artists, with a connection to the borough of Wilkinsburg, hold solo shows of their current work. In addition to the exhibits, each artist is able to host an artist talk, workshop, or reception to invite the public to engage more. The exhibits are always free and open to the public.

In it’s most recent season, we produced three shows featuring local Wilkinsburg-based artists Olga Mendenhall, Mo’Ney Thomas, and Charlotte Ka.
