Wilkinsburg development group works for liquor licenses in borough

May 1, 2015: Citing new developments like restaurants, hotels and other venues that sell alcohol in neighboring communities of East Liberty and Braddock, the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation wants liquor licenses to be allowed in the borough. In February and March, volunteers working with the community development corporation collected more than 1,300 signatures in order to place the liquor referendum on the May 19 ballot.
