Walkin’ Around Wilkinsburg

Posted on July 31, 2015 by marlee

July 2015: Wilkinsburg is full of rich history and beauty, but has been hurt throughout the years by a bad reputation for crime and poverty. Fortunately, members of the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation have been working hard to revamp Wilkinsburg’s reputation. Through different programs, such as the Business District Revitalization project, members of the CDC are showing other parts of the city that Wilkinsburg is an affordable and new area to open your business or to live in.

There is no better way to take a tour of the town than to take a “food tour.” Wilkinsburg’s CDC partnered up with Chatham’s Food Studies program to plan a tour of all the awesome places you can grab a bite to eat in this part of the city.

Check out the full Wilkinsburg Food Tour wrap-up from Table Magazine.
