Wilkinsburg Lifts the Ban on Liquor Licenses

Posted on May 20, 2015 by imagebox

During February & March 2015, the WCDC held a petition drive & collected the necessary number of signatures to place a Liquor License Referendum on the primary ballot — over 3,000 signatures were collected! On May 19, the municipal primary election day, over 60 percent of Wilkinsburg voters voted to allow licenses in our borough for the first time since 1935. Based on population size, Wilkinsburg may have up to five licensed establishments without a variance.
