A longtime Wilkinsburg resident, Helen Bowers is committed to the growth and revitalization of her community, with a focus on expanding access to homeownership and supporting thriving neighborhoods.
Helen brings more than 20 years of experience in banking and client services, specializing in mortgage lending, community outreach, and financial education. She currently serves as Assistant Vice President and Community Homeownership Specialist at First National Bank of Pennsylvania, where she works with homebuyers—particularly low- to moderate-income borrowers—and leads financial literacy and homebuyer education workshops across the region.
She is also an active leader in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., having served as President of the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter where she supports strategic planning and community-focused programming. And a past board member of the Pitt Alumni Association.
Helen’s passion for Wilkinsburg and her expertise in housing and community engagement guide her work on the WCDC Board as she supports efforts to strengthen the borough’s residential and economic future.
