Terry has spent the last 12 years learning the craft from her stepfather, mastering every step of the baking process. “He taught me everything,” she says. “Not just about baking, but about hard work and resilience.” Joe, who recently moved back to Pittsburgh, has been handling operations, marketing, and helping modernize the brand while ensuring the heart of Wood Street Bread remains unchanged. “These recipes are loved by so many people,” Joe explains. “I couldn’t just let them disappear.”

However, the new generation is also looking ahead—updating branding, exploring menu additions, and enhancing the customer experience. “We’ll always be about making quality bread,” says Terry. “That will never change.”
